It was our pleasure to host a group of 55 undergraduates and lecturers from Singapore Institute of Technology's (SIT) Bachelor of Engineering Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering programme in early June 2023.
Over the 2-hour session, students were given a brief introduction to TSL, and had the opportunity to tour the facilities such as the warehouse, workshop, digital lab and the newly minted Learning Center.
TSL has worked closely with SIT over the last 3 years, providing industry opportunities to undergraduates from relevant courses. One such initiative is the internship programme. Upon completion of the internship, students could be offered full-time positions in TSL. Melvin Tan, a SIT graduate who used to intern at TSL and is now a Service Engineer in TSL, shared his internship and working experience in TSL with his juniors during the session.
TSL also sponsors two undergraduates each year with a $5,000 bursary award to support their academic journey.
As a token of appreciation to TSL for its long-term partnership with SIT, two student representatives presented a canvas of their future Punggol campus to Mr. Alan Ow, TSL Managing Director.
TSL also offers internship opportunities to ITE and Polytechnic students as part of our commitment to groom the future generation of engineers and leaders in the energy & transportation and heavy equipment industries.
