To prove Cat DEO’s superior performance, we tested it side-by-side against an industry standard oil. This piston test shows the results. The engine that used Cat DEO showed no rough deposits, protecting against engine liner wear, excess oil consumption and decreased engine performance.
Tested Beyond Industry Standards
Cat® DEO, beyond the mandatory ECF-2 tests, undergoes four exclusive multi-cylinder endurance tests, various quality assurance assessments, and extensive field service over thousands of hours. Approval from Caterpillar is granted only after successfully passing these comprehensive tests. Cat® Hydraulic Oil: Cat HYDO™ Advanced 20
Improved Oil Stability
Oxidation is detrimental to oil life and performance and contributes to oil darkening. Cat® HYDO Advanced has improved oxidation stability, which means longer oil life and fewer deposits from oil breakdown.
Destructive Pump Test
In a rigorous destructive piston pump test conducted under extreme wear conditions, Cat HYDO Advanced outperformed HYDO, as evidenced by significantly less visible wear. After 200 hours, the piston pump with Cat HYDO Advanced remained in excellent condition, while the piston pump with HYDO failed after 178 hours (Note: test conducted with Cat HYDO Advanced 10 and Cat HYDO 10W).

Contains emulsifiers specifically designed to disperse water. Caterpillar does not recommend oils that “separate”, “shed”, or“release” water. Separated water drawn through the hydraulic system can damage pumps and other components. If this water freezes, it can cause serious damage.
